I’ve kept a Weber gas grill aroung for over 15 years now and it is wonderful. We barbeque on it all the time. We’ve had to replace the grates 3 times, the burners twice, and the wooden trays that came standard on ours got eaten by termites so we built UHMWPE replacements for them. We also have two weber kettles that we love to use. The first 2 sets of grates lasted about 2 years each, but then we upgraded to stainless steel and it has lasted since then. We use our barbeques for everything from burgers to steaks to ribs and cakes, pizza, and even creme brulee. They are incredibly versetile, and wonderful places to cook any food.
Weber grills are supposed to be the best on the market but they are pricey. we recently bought a brinkmann and it is working great.
choose well… while i resurrected one from my wife grandpa… you come to find they all have a fatal flaw, by design
the all aluminum pit had cast burners, then replaced w/ SS burners which last 2 seasons
the SS grills some have cast brass burners, truly lifetime, but have a painted steel bottom, or some others part that will fail
by the time it happens, you’re ready to give up & buy a new one
BY DESIGN!
