the pioneers were required to present the receipts for a years supplies of staple items before joining any wagon train
as for the Chuck Wagon, I am sure the every day spices were used even the ones for turkey and pumpkin pie.
how long is 20 miles a day for 3000 miles close to 6 months
and jerky was more likely an item that was made in the towns Rather than in the field It takes days to dry the meat
and they have a time schedual
But i guess a clever cook could keep the flys off the hanging raw meat within the covered chuck wagon.</description>
