Can a gas grill or similar sized propane tank be used temporarily in place of a regular outdoor tank?

Backyard Fire Pit

We had a 57 gallon propane tank outside out house that was used for a gas stove only. We only went through about 20 gallons of propane per year. This tank (with a half tank of gas) was recently stolen. Is it possible to hook up a gas grill or similar sized propane tank in place of the larger tank that was there? We are selling the house and will not be remaining there long term so it seems pointless to go through the hassle of having another full-size tank installed and paying for a full tank of gas.

I would like to have a rustic stone fire pit on my back deck. Can I have a fire pit on a wood deck without burning the deck? Would stone be too heavy for a wood deck?

Where do I get propane for my gas grill propane tank?

Backyard Fire Pit

My apartment complex banned charcoal grills so I got my hands on a gas grill for cheap that uses propane from a tank. I've never owned a gas grill before and have only used them once or twice in the past. I see you can buy tanks in places like Lowe's, Target, CostCo, etc., but where do you go to get them filled with propane? Can you usually do this at some gas stations or do you have to go elsewhere?

How can I use a 5-gallon tank as an underwater garden?

Backyard Fire Pit

I've just been given a 5-gallon bow-front fishtank (with a waterfall filter, light, and heater) and I have no idea how to stock it. I know it won't hold a lot of fish, so I thought about getting a few shrimp or snails and making an underwater garden. What kinds of plants should I get and how many will fit? What about gravel and sand? How should I care for it?
